乙醚为无色透明液体。有特殊刺激气味。带甜味。极易挥发。其蒸汽重于空气。在空气的作用下能氧化成过氧化物、醛和乙酸，暴露于光线下能促进其氧化。当乙醚中含有过氧化物时，在蒸发后所分离残留的过氧化物加热到100℃以上时能引起强烈爆炸； 这些过氧化物可加5%硫酸亚铁水溶液振摇除去。

乙酸乙酯又称醋酸乙酯，低毒性，有甜味，浓度较高时有刺激性气味，易挥发，是一种用途广泛的精细化工产品。具有优异的溶解性、快干性，用途广泛，是一种重要的有机化工原料和工业溶剂。

10、环保，农药残留量分析。
