热动专业是培养德、智、体全面发展的具有一定科研能力和创新能力的高级工程技术人才的专业。
学生在校期间获得热能动力工程有关设备运行和管理的基本训练,掌握本专业必需的基础理论、专业技术和热能动力设备的运行、维护和管理的知识,并具有较高的计算机应用能力和外语基础。
主干学科:热能工程、动力工程、空调与制冷、计算机技术、自动控制等。
主要课程:理论力学、材料力学、流体力学、机械设计基础、工程热力学、传热学、发电厂概论、电工电子技术、自动控制原理、测试技术、锅炉运行、汽轮机运行、汽轮机调节、热工检测仪表与系统、泵与风机、计算机应用系列课程、专业外语等。
还开设技术经济学、人工神经网络、低温制冷机、节能技术、压缩机系统与安装、数据库原理、AutoCAD、单片机与接口技术等选修课。
